We bleed Blue.....First Annual Blue V. Gold Meet

I hope that everyone had a good and safe Thanksgiving! I know that our team enjoyed some time away from classes and time with family and friends. We are now focusing on that last big push till exams and the end of the semester.

The time has come however to the first annual blue v. Gold meet. As we have a few athletes whom will not be able attend due to class conflicts and field trips even I will be participating in the meet. I'm not sure what is more exciting the fact that it is out first meet or that Evey race will be setting pool records! As long as the weather holds out we should have some results for you all next week.

First Meet Canclled

After a few weeks of hard work the team was supposed to compete in the Morningside Invite in Sioux City Iowa. However, do to 14 inches of isolated snow in the 5 county area we were unable to attend the meet.

Further information on the team seeing as we have not been the best at updating our blog..... we are well underway to updating and constructing the aquatic center facilities. As of last week our swimmer and diver only weight room was approved and will be starting building renovation in January. For our divers out their this means that we will hopefully be able to utilize a dry board.

First Meeting!

It was a great night for our first meeting. Thank you to all of you that came on out, to hear about the direction that we are headed for this first year.

First Team Meeting in The History of Iowa Lakes

It's hard to believe that we will be having the first ever team meeting in the history of Iowa Lakes. I welcome all whom are interested in Swimming or Diving to come find out what we will be doing this year (year "0") and beyond.

We will be meeting on the Emmetsburg Campus (In case you are unaware Swimming will be housed on the Emmetsburg Campus in the Smith Wellness Center) at 5:30 on the 15th of September in the Community Room down by the pool.


I'm excited to work with all of the talent that I have heard so much about from all of the staff here at Iowa Lakes and many of the community members.

On a side note i would like to thank all of outstanding Staff, Faculty, and fellow Coaches Who have gone out of their way to help me feel welcome, and get the ball rolling on this exciting adventure. Also, thank you to community for all of your support and encouragement.
